About Us

KP Public Strategies was founded by Kristen Seymore, M.P.A., a government affairs professional with more than 25 years of experience helping organizations navigate the intersection of public policy, infrastructure, and community engagement.

Kristen’s career spans legislative advocacy, municipal leadership, infrastructure consulting, strategic communications, and political operations. Before launching KP Public Strategy, she spent 14 years with a government advisory and infrastructure consulting firm, supporting major rail, transit, and energy initiatives, including the NICTD West Lake Corridor and Double Track projects, as well as IRA-funded energy efficiency programs for the Commonwealth of Pennsylvania.

Earlier in her career, Kristen founded and led an Indiana-based government affairs firm representing municipal clients, regional authorities, and Fortune 500 companies before the Indiana General Assembly. She also served as Finance Director for the Indiana House Speaker and House Democratic Caucus, providing firsthand insight into legislative strategy, political campaigns, and public policy development.

Today, Kristen combines that broad experience with a collaborative, practical approach to helping clients build relationships, navigate public processes, and achieve lasting results.

As a former elected official and trusted advisor in both Pennsylvania and Indiana, she understands public decision-making from multiple perspectives—and helps clients do the same.

KP Public Strategies is an independently owned, WBEC-certified, woman-owned firm committed to thoughtful strategy, transparent communication, and measurable outcomes.
